Weekend Getaway to Paris 2024!

Since Covid...Ina has not been able to tag along with Jim on his flights. This is the first opportunity to fly with him on his A330 to Paris, France for a 48-hour layover. Ina is hoping for a First- Class seat but will be semi-ok in the back. One of Jim's first officer's wives is also going on the trip!

Jim and I had our obligatory cockpit picture! First one on the A330. It was "go to work with your husband day"!

I scored a seat in Delta One. I do love a lay flat seat for those overnight flights. I managed a selfie!

Jim has been taking JJ's Flat David (JJ renamed him from Stanley) around on his flights. On the bus ride from CDG to our hotel, Pullman Montparnasse he took some pictures with Flat David. We passed the Arch de Triumph.

Today we walked 4.25 miles around the city. 

We walked to Notre-Dame and saw the massive destruction from the fire in 2019 and the rebuilding in progress. 

 It is expected to reopen in December 2024.

Flat David came along with us!

We stopped at a cafe, the Quartier General, and had a lovely lunch.

Tonight, we are dining at the La Coupole.

Heading back home today! Today brought a whole different feel...Covid! Ina started getting ill on the flight back and tested positive the next morning. Jim did not get sick at all and left for a 48-hour London trip the next day without her!
